Introduction
Yu-Feng obtained his PhD in 2010 from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taiwan University, specializing in protein binding residue prediction. Post-graduation, he continued his research in protein binding site prediction, encompassing DNA and RNA, as a Postdoctoral Researcher under his thesis advisor. In 2011, Yu-Feng joined Academia Sinica in Taiwan as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Kuo-Ping Chiu. He furthered his career in 2021 by joining TOP Science Biotechnologies Inc., a company founded by Dr. Chiu, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Shortly thereafter, in July 2021, he transitioned to ACT Genomics Inc. as a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer. His rapid advancement continued with his promotion to Manager of the Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence in July 2022, and following a departmental reorganization in September 2022, he assumed the role of Manager of the Department of Bioinformatics Innovation. In August 2023, he was elevated to Associate Director of the Division of Bioinformatics. Demonstrating his ongoing commitment to innovation, Yu-Feng embraced the role of Innovation Project Lead at ACT Genomics beginning May 1, 2024, focusing on spearheading the development of cutting-edge products.

Applying information technology on solving biological problems from data collection including sequence, structure and interaction analysis.

Improving machine learning and data mining techniques and applying on applications including bioinformatics. medical informatics or next-generation sequencing.
